Yano's 5 Months and Three Paper Peonies Blog Challenge

Hello there again. Forgot to post these layouts...

This one was a layout I made for my youngest son's turning five months last November 21. We are already starting to feed him with baby rice cereal, bananas and apples. Just updating...

Thanks + Giving

I am glad I became a part of Songbird family by being one of their creative team. This month’s my first month there and I am happy to help them even in some little way to be able to raise funds for different charities in the US. Even if I am not a US citizen, still I’m glad I’m helping. I’m also glad that Jan Crowley & Meredith Fenwick founded Songbird Avenue and along with the creative team and the guest designers every month, many charities will receive help.

We, at Songbird Avenue are grateful to all our guest designers who have contributed to a kit receiving no profit. And what are these if there are no customers to buy them, so, to all of you who bought kits from the Songbird Avenue store, thank you. With your purchase we were able to raise funds for charities.

As a gift to our generous supporters, here a template for you.

eta: Click on image to download template, click the PURCHASE button (price is set at $0.00), then check out. We hope you enjoy the download!

Here's a layout from me using this layered template. This is the first layout and 2 more layouts are coming using this. :))

These are our friends who visited us when I gave birth to our youngest son. A couple of close friends helped in taking care of my eldest son while Kim was with me at the hospital since I had 2 major surgeries at that time (a ceasarean birth and a partial hysterectomy since I had placenta accreta) and sent us food. I might forgot a few, sorry, as much as I wanted to remember all of you, I just can't. You know who you are and thank you.

I'd like to thank the hospital, the chaplain, all the nurses and nursing aides (specially Filipino staff) and doctors who took care of me and my baby. I have thank them over and over again from the time I woke up at the OR up to the time we were discharged from the hospital.
And as the year comes to its end, I'd like to thank them once again.

THANK YOU... God bless you all.

Thank you for looking :D

Note: Sorry for the photos friends, just grabbed them from Facebook... hehehe...

Some other news...
Regarding my First Blog Surprise, thank you for commenting. Thank you for my friends for commenting, it just means you're really my friends. Hahaha... And for the others who commented, thank you very much. Your comments are so inspiring and flattering. Hihihi... Although the comments did not reach 20 (as for my target), it's still okay with me. There are those who commented that didn't give their email adds and I don't know how to send you my Free Spirit Add-on Feehand Drawn Frames. :) I'm even planning for another blog surprise and this time it will be much better. Hehehe...

Thank you very much... Thank you for looking. Keep on visiting here. I am planning something for my December freebies but I'm still a bit unorganized as to how to go about it. LOL! Hahaha... I'm hoping to resolve this soon.

Stay happy pipol... Hakuna Matata...

"My Boys"

It's almost midnight here in our place but I just got to post this photo. I so love this shot of my boys (the biggest, the big and the smallest). I took this photo last weekend, Friday. The photo was a bit noisy and a bit shaky nor the editing was not that good but it's perfect for me... I love it into bits. I even intend to print this on a larger size (maybe 8"x10") and frame it.

"MY BOYS"
{Papa Kim, Kuya (big brother) Makuy and our Tabakokong (chubby) Yano }

They are my world and they made me complete.
They are what keep me going.
They are my inspiration in everything I do.
I just love taking photos of them.

They are "My Boys"

Template No.5 Freebie and a Late Layout Shared

Hello... just a short post with a little something. And just gor to post a layout of Yano's 4th month. I can't believe that I totally forgot scrapping his turning into four months!!! Hahaha... Anyways, here' s a template I used for Yano's 4th month.

Template No. 5

And here's my late layout shared for Yano's 4th month. He's getting chubbier and bigger every month. We are so having a good time playing with him, too, since he's responding to tickles and when he is happy, he is happy and he smiles a lot with his tongue sticking out. Hahaha... But when he's not in good mood... he's really not in good mood. Hehehe... And he mumbles a lot also now. He's also starting to grab his toys towards his mouth. And last weekend he just rolled over (at last) without mama's pulling or pushing. Hehehe...

My first blog surprise and a freebie...

Just got the internet connection fixed today... for the second time. *sigh* hoping there'd be no third soon. Hehehe... I was with no net for 4 days, just as I finished my latest littlekit. Well anyways, here it is. I was so into pen tablet these days and up to now I am still praying and hoping Kim would buy me. I was eyeing for Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen+Touch but it's soooooo expensive (super!!!). So, I have to convince myself to settle for Genius G-Pen 4500 (it's much, much cheaper). Wacom is 4x the price of Genius... but I soooo love Wacom.

Because I've been wanting to doodle and I still didn't have pen tablet, I just doodle on papers and created handrawn elements (mostly flowers and frames). I scanned them and edited in Photoshop. Hehehe... That's how I came up with this littlekit. I don't know if you're going to like it since I'm not really good in freehand drawing. Hehehe.... Thank you if you like it and always feel free to download them (just leave some love on the comments section or shoutmix, it's much appreciated). Also, I was inspired by Valerie's doodles. She's so good at it. Visit her blog and get inspired as well with her layouts and freebies. I hope to enhance my skill in creating digital scrapbooking kits and really improve on what I now considered as my craft. :D

Paper Element

And as for a little surprise here. I'd like to give this add-on freehand drawn frames to the first 20 to comment here and do tell me if you like my designs or if I really need more improvement. It's okay to be honest, I think I need some criticism to improve. Well, these freehand drawn frames are not as good as like the other designer's freehand drawings and they are not perfectly hand drawn (you can see plenty of crooked lines and bumps) but they are drawn with love and happiness. These are freehand drawn frames which you can recolor according to your taste and even convert it into stamp. I specially like the frames with flower pot on the side (it was the first frame I drew). These fits well with my Free Spirit littlekit and if you would like to have them just leave your comment and e-mail here. I'll have this little surprise until next week Wednesday, November 18, 11:59pm Dubai Time (+4GMT).

Here's a layout from me using this littlekit. Please send me a link to your layouts if you're using my kit. Thank you for appreciating them... thank you. This is a simple layout of my husband Kim and eldest son Markus playing ball at the park a couple of weekend ago.

Until then, keep on visiting my blog. Thank you for looking.

Have a good weekend ahead.

:D

Jessica Sprague Holidays in Hand

Got this information at Suzanne's blog... I got interested... I enrolled. Can't wait to start the class.

This is a FREE class and it's the final class for this year 2009. Here Jessica Sprague will teach us how to capture and record memories this holiday season. Even if holiday season here in UAE is not the same as what we usually have in Philippines, it's still nice to somehow celebrate the season along with our close friends who are not going to Philippines for vacation. Hehehe...

Attending this free class is worth it if Jessica Sprague is offering it. It's still open for anybody who wanted to join. Just click the image above and it will lead you to her site.

I'm a CT Member...

I've been wanting to be a part of a Creative Team eversince I started doing digital scrapbooking and now, finally, I'm a part of a Creative Team (CT) for the Songbird Avenue, Inc. It's a privilege to be a part of them. Songbird Avenue, Inc. is committed to giving. They worked with top designers to bring us great digital scrapbook design every month and then donate their sales to various charities. It's what makes them including me happy to scrap. Somehow, I feel that I am also giving and it feels great to give.

This is my very first CT duty... my very first layout as a Songbird Avenue Creative Team member. Yippeey!!! Do visit their store and think that when you purchase something, you're giving to the charity and this November 2009 kit is for the benefit of Toys for Tots. This kit was designed by the ladies at Scrapbook Graphics. Just click the image to go to the store.

Here's my layout: It's my son with his new jet plane lego. It's his first time to play with lego and Kim and I were surprised that after a couple of times Kim taught him how to follow the instructions and a few mistakes, he finally finished it all by himself. :D

Thank you for looking and do visit Songbird Avenue store and donate by purchasing... And I'm simply ecstatic to be part of them... Thanks to them, too.

((Hugs))
